This is a great scheme that helps you save with a 2.00% tax-free p.a./AER variable. You can open this Cash ISA with up to £1,200 in the first calendar month, a calendar month being the start to end of each month. During the following months, you can then save up to £200 per calendar month.
This account is designed for first time buyers saving for their first UK residential property. The name ‘help to buy’ is due to the 25% bonus incentive from the Government on your savings. The minimum bonus is £400 based on savings of £1,600 with a maximum bonus of £3,000 based on £12,000 saved. There are some rules :
